This song, sweet child of mine performed by Guns N' Roses is a famous song that was once written by Slash and Axl Rose. This song is rank #37 in the VH1 list top 100 greatest guitar solo songs for the year 2010! I personally feel that this song is has a great guitar song and great vocal... sadly.. it's the only Guns N' Roses song that managed to reached billboard top 100 at #1 so Guns N' Roses fan really appreciate this song. This song is talking about the childhood time and love or sth like this... many people interpreted this song differently but all those who listened to this song will have something in common... this is the one of the best song sang in the 80's and rock n roll history... others favourites are like , livin' on a prayer - bon jovi, Back in black -AC/DC, The final countdown - Europe. I feel that you all should listen to this song as it has good melody and the lyric somehow seems to make sense!

The lyrics of the song are written about Axl Rose's girlfriend (at the time) Erin Everly. The guitar lick at the beginning was a coincidence, as Slash warmed up by playing a circus sounding tune as a joke, but the rest of the band took notice.
Released on August 18, 1988, the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the band's first and only number-one single in the U.S. It reached number six on the UK Singles Chart.
